About Us
Tony Malone came to the CSRA a little over 20 years ago. His involvement in key community and business organizations and projects has helped the Augusta CSRA Black Pages experience almost a 15% growth in sales since its first launch in the area.


Darrin Thomas is a native of Florence, South Carolina and currently resides in Columbia. Mr. Thomas is a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Business where he received his undergraduate degree in Marketing and Management.  Prior to his entrepreneurial career, Xerox Corporation employed Mr. Thomas as a Marketing Representative in Greenville, South Carolina.

In 1991 Mr. Thomas, and his former partner Gerry McCants, founded Thomas-McCants Media, Inc. and are known throughout out this market as Black Pages USA.  Black Pages USA promotes minority businesses and provides a print or internet reference guide for consumers, major corporations, and the like, who want to take advantage of services and products offered by minority businesses. They also host “Black Expo”, an event designed to give both minority owned businesses and major

Mr. Thomas received several notable state and local awards in recognition of his accomplishments including:

The Boy Scouts Indian Waters Council, Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award, for his volunteer service in implementing scouting opportunities for low-income and disadvantaged youth. 

The Columbia Chamber of Commerce -1997 Minority Small Business Person of the Year. 

The South Carolina Small Business Administration -1997 South Carolina Minority Business Person of the Year.

The University of South Carolina – Darla Moore School of Business – 1998 Distinguished Young Alumnus Award.

The South Carolina Business Network – 1998 Entrepreneur of the Year.

Since that time, Mr Thomas has formed Thomas Media Group, LLC headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina focusing on publishing Black Pages directories and hosting Black Expos in Georgia, Florida and South Carolina. Thomas Media Group operates 5 offices in the Southeastern United States.
The Silver Beaver Award – Boy Scouts of America – highest honor that is bestowed upon a volunteer by the local council.

The 1999 Blue Chip Enterprise Award – given annually by Mass Mutual, Inc. and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for companies that succeed against the odds.

Mr. Thomas currently serves on the board of directors for the local Boy Scouts of America, Wachovia Bank – Midlands Advisory Board, Salvation Army, Coker College Board of Trustees, Palmetto Health Foundation Board, SCANA Corporation Advisory Board, and the USC School of Business Partnership Foundation Board of Advisors.  He is a life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Savannah Chapter-National Association of Guardsmen, Alpha Iota Boule - Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, member of the Columbia Rotary Club and serves as Vice President of the Indian Waters Council Boy Scouts of America. He is also a vigil honor member of Santee Lodge 116 – Order of the Arrow.

Darrin is an active member of Francis Burns United Methodist Church and is married to Kela Evans Thomas, formerly of Orangeburg, South Carolina. They have two sons, Todd Asher and Garrison Ervin. He accredits his success to his faith in God, the love of his family and the principle of relationship building.


His work has been instrumental in moving the publication from meager beginnings into the widely-recognized publication it is today.  Having served our country well as a U.S. Marine Corps Career Planner, Tony brought dedication, discipline and initiative to his position as area Sales Manager and was recently earned the coveted position of Vice President.

As a team, Tony and Darrin are keeping the Augusta CSRA Black Pages current through periodic updates to this web site and the continued development of the Black Pages Professional Network of Businesspersons.
